Julia Leister
Senior Associate, Lead Interior Designer
Julia Leister is a Senior Associate and Lead Interior Designer at Handel Architects, which she joined in 2014. Her experience ranges from multi-family residential to hospitality to commercial projects, as well as private residences. Currently she is concepting a luxury rental tower in the heart of Seattle, refurbishing a Senior Living facility in San Francisco’s Cathedral Hill area, and coordinating the completion of a mixed use luxury condo in the center of Boston.
Previously, Ms. Leister was the lead project designer of the Four Seasons Private Residences 706 Mission located in San Francisco, which included full interior design scope including unit layouts, residential and amenity design and FF&E services. Ms. Leister also served as Interior Designer for both 288 Pacific and The Pacific, two top-of-market luxury residential projects in San Francisco and Ten50 Residences, a luxury for-sale project in Los Angeles.
Ms. Leister has designed public and private amenity spaces, residential lobbies, lounges, valet experiences, and outdoor amenities. Her experience includes all stages from conceptual design to construction administration, as well as FF&E selection, custom design, and art coordination.
Prior to joining the Handel Architects’ team, Ms. Leister worked as an Interior Designer on international hospitality design with Willson Associates in Dallas, Texas, as well as branding and experience design with in Big Red Rooster in Columbus, Ohio.
Ms. Leister received her Bachelors of Interior Design at the University of Cincinnati in Ohio.
